Nashville, TN 2008

Trip, after trip, after trip! The great thing about working in travel is the ability to do just that, Travel!
Our Delta passes had to be used by the end of March. I had been looking to go somewhere fun and started looking... I found Nashville and said that would be fun to go to the Grand Ole Opry!

So I started looking at "Who" was going to be playing there and when they would be playing. Brittney loves Carrie Underwood and will tell you that Carrie is the only contestant of American Idol that she has ever voted for! So I found out that she was going to be playing and I got us tickets to the early show of the Opry!

Our seats weren't the best but they were seats. I don't know if any of you have heard but during our show Randy Travis made a guest appearance and asked Carrie to become the next member of the Grand Ole Opry! (WOW!) What an exciting thing to happen for her but not only for her but for us as well to have been there when it happened!
Randy played a few songs for us as well that night which was unexpected!

We played around Nashville for the weekend and found out that CMT was going to be Filming their new Reality TV show "Can You Duet" while we were in town as well! So we attended the recording at the Wildhorse Saloon. Not to mention that we were surprised when we were standing in line to get in and Naomi Judd pulled up right in front of us!

We also meet one of the contestants Will Snyder and his parents. This kid is incredibly good on the guitar and he has a really good voice too!

When we got in and found out that we were going to have to STAND for 3 hours we went upstairs and found a table that wasn't reserved! As we were sitting there with some new friends we meet in line the Producers of the Show came and sat at the table right behind us... So we were able to talk to a few of them!
Nashville... What a fun city! Plenty to do and see! I could go back and play again later!

San Diego 2008

Another year, Another trip! Christopherson Travel took us to San Diego this year! This was fun because it was so close to our Anniversary! And because this is where we went on our Honeymoon!
Britt had wanted to go to Wicked and I said I would take her but when tickets were $110 a piece we said that we wouldn't go...
I kept looking and was able to find them for 1/3 that cost! So a co-worker rented the car and she didn't want to drive in that "California Traffic", haha! I was more than happy to drive to LA for her. Yeah 3 hour drive from San Diego to LA and only 1:50 minutes back... Hummmm...
Also the wife (Ingrid) of one of my favorite musicians, Jim Croce, has a restaurant in the Gas Lamp District of San Diego. So I had to go do my part in eating there to thank her for her husbands music. I was very pleased to hear that she was the one leading the change in the Gas Lamp to make it what it is today!

Where I've been Map!

I found this on a blog of a person from my high school class.  I have been looking for something like this for quite some time now.  I had one from Google Maps that was nicer because I could pin-point the cities.  This is a good one because it is pretty easy to add to.

Disneyland 2007

So... I said we would be back!  So at work if there are extra ticket we can use them and just pay the taxes on the flight.  Also working for a travel agency they consider me a "Travel Agent" so I'm able to get discounts on lots of things like Marriott Hotel Stays and also I can get a 2 day Park Hopper pass for FREE!
So... since Brittney had just had a miscarriage we thought that it would be a good idea to get away for the weekend!  We had such a fun time and I tell you... this was the best time I have had at Disneyland because there was hardly anybody there!  We were the only ones on most of the rides for the first part of the day!  All of the other people that were there were all in line for the new ride Finding Nemo.
Brittney's boss told us about the "Hidden Mickey's" in the park.  We borrowed the book on the Hidden Mickey's and off we went to see if we could find them!  Some of them are very interesting!  I suggest this for anybody who is planning on going to anything Disney.

Florida 2007

This was a really fun trip!  Again this trip was thanks to my work and Delta!  Every year we usually get 2 free air line tickets to anywhere in the US, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, and Canada.  We chose to use them this year to go see my sister and nephews who live in Melbourne.  We had lots of fun and I know, I know, I know that I'm a white guy with some bad farmers tan!
Some of the things that we did on this trip was the famous Air Boat ride, the city zoo, of course we hit the beach.
We didn't do anything illegal... like feed the Manatee... it just looks like we are, or at least we didn't know it was illegal! hehe
This was also the time of the year that the Sea Turtles would come up on the beach to lay their eggs.  We went out on night to see if we could see any of them.  We were fortunate enough to meet up with a lady who worked for the University, she taught us a lot about turtles.  We happened to find a few turtles and the one that we sat and watched was injured and was unable to dig a whole deep enough because of the injury... She never laid the eggs and eventually made her way back to the Ocean.  I really love turtles because of how graceful they are in the water.

Lake Powell 2007

We made the long drive for a short 2 day trip... We had something to get back for but I don't remember what... I just know that we had a lot going on at the time of this trip and I'm sure that is why we forgot the camera!  I love Lake Powell!  We went down in 2006 over Thanksgiving as well which was pretty cold but that's what Dry Suits are for!

Pineview - Labor Day 2007

We took off for Labor Day to good 'ol Pineview Reservoir.  I love wake-boarding and playing in the water.  This was a quick trip up to the lake for a good day on the water.

Seattle, WA 2007

Working at Christopherson Business Travel has it's perks! This is the
first trip that we have made with the company! Every year the owners
Mike & Camille take the entire company and spouses (significant
others... I have to be Politically Correct) to a West Coast destination
(Seattle, San Diego, or San Francisco). They do this in celebration of
the anniversary of when they purchased Christopherson Travel on March
1st. I've always loved Seattle and it is really one of my favorite
cities. We didn't take too many pictures on this trip because it was
pretty rainy (imagine that... Rain in Seattle?)

Israel 2006

This was the best Christmas Present that we could have ever received!
My parents were planning this trip and decided to offer us kids the
option to go on the trip or cash... Ummm... Brittney and I had to think
about the fact that we just got into our home and could really use the
mo./#%^@$^^$ Of course we'll go to Israel!!!! I wouldn't pass up a
free trip to the Holy Land and I'm soooooo glad that we went!
I can't even explain how the trip has changed my life! I love the fact
that now when I read the scriptures I have a mental picture of these
places (and some physical pictures as well!).
The only advise I can give you is that if you ever have the option to
visit Israel is this... GO! and GO NOW!
Thanks Mom and Dad!

Disneyland 2006

Disneyland... What more needs to be said!

OK... Breann graduated HS and wanted to go to Disneyland. I'm just
lucky that my in-laws are the best and made this trip possible for
Brittney and I! This was a fun trip because "EVERYBODY" came! We had
26 of us and we met up with Cindy's (Brittney's Mom) brother, wife and 3
kids who live in Cali.

Oh Disneyland... We will be back! maybe September 2007! (PS. Note the
date posted!)

Chicago 2004

This was a trip Brittney and I took back to visit my parents when they
lived in Chicago. We drove down to Amish Acres... (Hence the cute Amish
Couple picture!). There are plenty more pictures but these are two of
my favorite. We would have gone to the Cubs game that day but it was
sold out and they were selling "Standing Room Only" tickets... The game
went 11 innings... Sure glad we didn't go because my legs are tired just
thinking about standing that long! I really enjoy Chicago. Such a fun
city!
